What is the O-Shot?
The O-Shot for women is a non-surgical procedure performed in a medical clinic in which your own blood platelets are extracted from one part of your body and then injected into the vaginal tissue. The inventor of O-Shot treatment is Dr. Charles Runels. The activated platelets generate healthier and more functional tissues in the sexual response areas in the vaginal tissue. You may be a good candidate for O-Shot if you observe one or more of the following sexual disorders or concerns in your body:
- Vaginal Dryness
- Urinary Incontinence
- Lack of Sexual Desire
- Inability to Become Aroused or Orgasm
- Pain During Intercourse
How does the O-Shot for women work?
The shot involves using “high quality” Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) derived from the patient’s own blood. The PRP contains regenerative cell growth factors which, when injected into the clitoris and areas of the vagina, stimulate stem cells to increase blood flow and regenerate healthy tissue growth and improve vascularization of the area.
What is the process of the O shot treatment?
The doctor will first do a free consultation with you at Lifestyle’s MedSpa. You will then be scheduled for the procedure in the office. Before doing the procedure, a vaginal exam is done. A local numbing cream is applied to the vaginal area for 30 minutes. Then we will draw blood from the arm. This blood is then put into a special centrifuge to produce the Platelet-Rich Plasma. Once the PRP is ready, it is extracted from the tube in a syringe and then injected into the numbed area near the clitoris and upper vagina. Book Appointment
Does O Shot procedure hurt? How long does the procedure take?
The O-Shot for women procedure is usually painless. We numb the area with a topical numbing cream and also use lidocaine injection. The O Shot injection feels like a pinch or warm sensation. There is absolutely no suggested recovery time with O-shot. It is completely safe and no-surgical clinical procedure. Once the injection has been given, you can drive home or go back to work. It generally takes about 30 minutes to complete, including the numbing process.
Are there any complications or side effects with O Shot Treatment?
Most patients experience minimal to absolutelyno side effects after receiving the O-shot. Since it is your own blood, there is no risk of any reactions. Some patients may experience mild redness, swelling, and/or numbness for the first few days.
